Who was Octavia the Younger? Octavia the Younger, or simply Octavia (in Latin Octavia Thurina Minor, 69 - 11 BC), is the sister of the first Roman emperor, Augustus and the half-sister of Octavia the Elder. She is the daughter of Caius Octavius and Atia Balba Caesonia, the niece of Julius Caesar. She was one of the most prominent women in Roman history, respected and admired by her contemporaries for her loyalty, nobility and humanity. Additionally, Octavia survived a period in ancient Rome when many succumbed to betrayals and intrigue.
